Ground engaging members are arranged to be mounted to a mechanical earth-working tool, such as an excavator bucket or the like. A mounting element is affixed to the mechanical earth-working tool and a ground engaging member is positioned relative to the mounting element and a leading edge of the earth-working tool. First engagement elements are formed with or attached to the ground engaging member, and engage with the mounting element. Second engagement elements are formed with or attached to the ground engaging member and engage with an edge of the mechanical earth-working tool. Tightening a threaded fastener draws the ground engaging member onto the earth-working tool.
